印度
作品出自印度梵文貝葉經《八千頌般若經》。此類寫經一般供奉於殿堂或寺院，少用於念誦。印度佛教寫經之插圖，通常與經文無關，但卻是了解早期印度密教人物造像的珍貴資料，而西藏繪畫以印度造像為依據，也由此得證。
三頁經文由上而下，中心繪阿彌陀佛、不空成就佛和金剛薩埵。阿彌陀佛三面六臂，紅色身相，寶冠高聳，髮長垂肩，威而不怒，瓔珞嚴身，六手持物，趺坐蓮座。不空成就佛綠色身相，頂戴華冠，身上裝飾繁複，六臂或舉或揚，分別持物，跏趺而坐。金剛薩埵飾寶冠，斂目微笑，帔帛繞臂，右手當胸結印，左手執金剛鈴，結跏趺坐。
貝葉兩端彩繪形制獨特的寶塔或圖像，燙孔處飾有瑞獸及人物形象，極為特殊。畫作構圖嚴謹，筆觸細緻，設色明麗，技巧熟練。
