These three pages of the Astasahasrika Prajnaparamita Sutra are illustrated with images of Amitabha Buddha, Amoghasiddhi Buddha, and Vajrasattva, all seated in full lotus position on lotus thrones. The red Amitabha Buddha, with three heads and six arms, wears a tall crown and golden ornaments. A sword is held up behind the head in the top left hand. The green Amoghasiddhi Buddha also wears a crown and has a bright yellow nimbus. Amoghasiddhi’s six hands all hold various objects. Vajrasattva has closed eyes, and wears a stole that encircles the arms. The right hand forms a mudra and the left hand holds a vajra. Pagodas or patterned strips are painted on the ends of the pages. The cordage holes are decorated with images of auspicious creatures.
