Sarnath: Parasol

印度北方邦鹿野苑遺址出土
印度北方邦瓦拉那西（Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh）鹿野苑（Sarnath）出土。原附屬於同出處的迦膩色迦王三年（約131）銘文佛立像。
傘蓋內面中央刻有盛開的蓮花紋，其次一圈是帶翼的怪獸與盛開的小蓮花紋樣相間構成，再向外一圈是吉祥紋樣，有滿瓶、雙魚紋、忍冬紋、三寶標等，邊緣環繞一圈蓮瓣。一般認為這反映了當時人們相信佛陀不僅具有超人的力量，還能給眾生帶來吉祥與幸運。
由傘杆上的銘文得知，造像目的在於祈求一切眾生得利益與安樂。現存的石製傘蓋相當稀少，使此作品更加顯得彌足珍貴。
