印度北方邦鹿野苑遺址出土
印度北方邦瓦拉那西（Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh）鹿野苑（Sarnath）出土。此像雕於佛塔的正面，塔和佛像完全由一座鉢形的蓮花造型承托，蓮瓣由淺浮雕雕刻而成，是非常特殊的一種形式。
佛塔整體由圓筒形的基座與覆鉢形塔身構成，平頂殘損，傘蓋遺失。佛像呈笈多王朝（約320〜550）的鹿野苑樣式，頭光樸質無裝飾，眼睛半閉，面部帶有沉思冥想的神情。著通肩袈裟，雙手作說法印，倚坐於寶座上。
