畫面中心主尊為綠度母，束髮戴冠，袒上身，披帛帶，下繫紅色短裙，身形呈三屈式；左手當胸結印，右手作與願印，盤屈左足，舒右足，坐於蓮座上。其兩側有脇侍立像，周圍是各種度母形象。上部繪有七佛，中間一尊小佛像，左右各三尊。
此種黑底描金唐卡一般通稱黑唐，藏語稱拿唐是十七世紀西藏開始流行的一種精細畫工。畫師首先以黑色顏料塗滿整張畫布，再以黃金做畫。黑色顏料通常以油燈的油煙及靛藍色染料混合而成，使顏料黑中帶藍。諸尊像的身形又以各種礦物色繪出陰影，產生立體感。
此黑底唐卡之彩繪，除了主尊和七佛描金及運用紅色外，其餘皆以暗色系呈現。
