該佛像在造像樣式和形制上與一九七○年代韓國慶州雁鴨池王宮遺址發現的佛像類似，但有些方面呈現出較晚期的特徵，可推定為八世紀末至九世紀製作。
此尊雕像比例寫實，頭部圓碩，髮髻螺旋狀，肉髻低平，站姿方正，為八世紀韓國佛像造像特徵。右手上揚，拇指與中指相捻，左手屈肘下垂。內著袒右僧祇支，袈裟貼體表現身體輪廓。佛像背面與肩部有洞孔，應為懸掛背光之用。
