一九○七年新疆維吾爾自治區巴音郭楞蒙古自治州焉耆回族自治縣七個星佛教遺址出土。此為一青年男子頭像，面貌豐圓，五官緊皺，蹙眉，凸目圓睛，鼻頭圓聳，人中短促，嘟嘴緊閉，頭髮向上飄揚左旋，勢若風火。其髮及面部表情之巧妙配合，神采天成，個性鮮明，生動傳神。
