此作品採用淺浮雕結合線刻手法，具有豐富的表現力。羅漢著鉤鈕式袈裟，衣紋流暢富於動感。坐於蒲團上，盤右腿，左腿屈膝立起。頭部側向左，直鼻深目，具梵僧形象。眼圓睜，大耳垂肩，張口似作論辯狀。有圓形頭光，左手提佛珠上舉，右手置於胸前。羅漢姿態表現生動，表情富戲劇性。畫面左右兩側上部刻題記，竪書五行，錄文「大唐貞觀三年（629）／九月／廿□／日鎮海寺／比丘僧修善」。
