羅漢身形圓潤壯碩，五官立體，兩手叉指，左臂掛念珠，兩足掌相觸，屈身而坐。此作採用特殊的無光黑釉材料及手法表現，黑中透亮，整體作品渾然一體而富有神祕感。
塑像特別渲染笑容的動態，並在五官和四肢上加以著墨，採用雙手抱袋席地而坐，轉頭大笑的姿態，讓人感受到羅漢身體因笑而顫動。在細節的塑造上，如五官、手、腳、念珠、垂飾等，均展現洗練的手法。
