Statuette of Arhat

CHINA

This seated Arhat has a portly and muscular physique. He has a big and round face, broad forehead, bright eyes, bulbous nose, and his mouth is wide open in a hearty laugh. He bends forward with both hands clasped around his right knee. The Arhat has prayer beads around his right forearm and has a sack on his back.
The statuette is glazed in black and effectively portrays the personality and humorous nature of the Arhat. The artist has paid great attention to detail while creating an overall impression of a very engaging and dynamic character.
