清宮舊藏。菩提達摩為中國禪宗初祖，西天第二十八祖。繡像表現達摩足踏蘆葦渡江，為清代（1644～1911）傑出的髮繡珍品。
達摩呈梵僧相，寬鼻圓目，濃眉虯髯，頭轉向左側，雙耳及手腕皆佩環飾，戴風帽，著廣袖長袍。左手提衣，右手握棍，棍頭挑一僧鞋，跣足輕踏一蘆葦，乘風而行。
此圖採白描繡法，用針洗練、傳神，衣袂翻飛，極富動感。惜部分髮絲已脫落。圖左側有三行繡書「這鬚僧黑滿腮認得他記不來╱呀昔年折葦渡江去至今五╱葉一花開」，朱繡二款印已模糊不清。
