佛螺髮細密，頂有肉髻。面龐圓潤，五官精緻。頭略俯，作沉思狀，神情恬靜。身形纖細，胸前刻有「卍」字。外披袒右袈裟，內著僧祇支。胸前繫帶，襞褶宛如蓮瓣。手臂渾圓，飾以臂釧、腕釧。雙手於腹前施禪定印，上捧一寶珠。結跏趺坐於束腰仰覆蓮座上，下有須彌座相承，立面開壼門。
座底部刻「開元寺」、「大明萬曆乙卯年（1615）漳州府東溪鄉」、「冶子陳福成叩謝」，是知為明萬曆四十三年，漳州府漳窯瓷塑藝人陳福成所製，並供奉於泉州開元寺。整尊造型塑造精細，胎質細膩，通體施以白釉，釉色均勻略帶黃，有細微的開片，為製作工藝高妙的漳州窯作品。
