甘肅省酒泉市敦煌市莫高窟第17窟出土。繪製於九世紀末。菩薩以側面示人，背對觀者，動勢如曼妙的舞姿，華蓋的流蘇亦翩然拂動。
菩薩高鼻深目，褐色肌膚，束髮戴冠，佩釧飾，身披藍色帔巾，長裙以紅色線表現褶紋。左肩聳起，左手伸向後方提帔巾，右手上舉托蓮。腰部向左邊韻律擺動，雙足分踏雙蓮，裙襬隨著動作韻律而擺動。
此畫具印度風格，從菩薩衣服樣式及空白榜題，得知是出自中國畫家之手。
