Kanimanji Temple Main Hall: Sakyamuni Buddha

蟹滿寺釋迦牟尼佛坐像

位於日本京都府木津川市山城町蟹滿寺,為本堂之主尊。有關該像之來源說法不一,有一說是從附近寺院遷移而來,然據寺境的發掘調查,可確認該寺創建於七世紀末,當時被安置於金堂基壇中央,故很可能為創寺時之主尊而備受矚目。一九五三年指定為日本國寶。
 佛螺髮與白毫已佚,頭部碩大,面長而圓,雙肩寬大,膝部張力強勁,身軀偉岸,充滿量感。弧形雙眉上揚,外眼角向上,眼瞼微開,頰頤豐圓,嘴唇緊閉,嘴角略凹下彎,表情嚴肅。右手上舉結印,左手輕置膝上,手指微屈。內著僧祇支,外披袈裟,結跏趺坐。手掌似雁王之蹼呈縵網相,為佛三十二相之一。衣紋顯現出棱角線條。從其多樣性之作風,推測鑄於七世紀末至八世紀上半葉。
