Norbulingka Palace: Atisa

阿底峽是印度高僧，十一世紀入藏弘法，成為藏傳佛教噶當派祖師。此像為十七至十八世紀作品。
大師頭戴通人冠，臉部泥金彩繪，神情和悅。雙手結轉法輪印，結跏趺坐於蓮座上。其身體左側有一圓囊，右側齊肩的位置有一小塔，為阿底峽造像的標識物。
座背造型比較特殊，係仿漢地明代（1368～1644）的椅背而成，以鏤空形式建構圓拱式背光，外飾卷草紋樣，兩側有對稱大「S」圖案連接雕花立柱，與蓮座組接成體。
