該像肉髻高聳，上有波狀髮紋，眉間有白毫，雙眼大睜，唇上留髭。左手在胸側握袈裟衣角，右手抬起作無畏印，掌心刻有法輪，具備佛陀三十二相的造像特徵。
身著通肩袈裟，衣紋輕薄貼體，身軀起伏明顯，可見微微抬起的右膝，似作行走狀，造型極為寫實生動。
此種帶有動感的立姿源自希臘、羅馬雕塑，屬早期犍陀羅風格，與秣菟羅（Mathura）的造像多採雙腳直立姿態有所區別。
