一九五六年內蒙古自治區呼和浩特市托克托縣古城鄉古城村出土。
釋迦牟尼佛眉目修長，雙耳垂肩，髮髻高隆呈漩渦紋，著袒右袈裟，右手上舉施無畏印，左手握衣角，結跏趺坐於束腰四足方座上。方座正面中央束腰部分兩側各有一蹲獅。座緣飾以忍冬紋，四足各刻供養菩薩。雖不見背光，但像後及座背有兩個安插背光的板鈕，顯示原物應有背光、頭光的配置。該像鑄造精緻，為典型的太和樣式金銅佛坐像造型。
方座背面銘刻發願文「大代太和八年（484）歲次甲子十一月十二日比丘僧安造釋迦文佛一軀上為七世父母皇帝陛下陳□僧同學願宿幹鎧俉（悟）無生忍位登什地前上□□一切塵生普同□□所願從心故記之」。
