Kongobuji Temple: Master Kukai

傳說該像由日本奈良千手院僧人精進行持一萬日後所刻製，故此像又稱萬日大師，其風格寫實，乃參考傳統的弘法大師畫像而雕造，製作於十六至十七世紀，現為日本重要文化財。
該像頭部微向左側，帶有回顧之姿，臉頰圓潤，目光清澈，凝視下方，嘴角內收，表情堅毅。體格壯碩，內著僧祇支，外披袈裟，左肩繫結，右手舉至胸前握五股杵，左手置於膝上持念珠，結跏趺坐。
造型簡潔，刻劃自然，將修行者之內涵表現得淋漓盡致。
