新疆維吾爾自治區吐魯番市木頭溝佛寺遺址出土。日本大谷探險隊分別於一九○二、一九○八、一九一一年在新疆和田、庫車、樓蘭、尼雅、焉耆、吐魯番等地進行考古發掘及調查，發現大量雕塑藝術品，現存於遼寧省旅順博物館及韓國首爾國立中央博物館等。
造像採用模製、線刻、貼塑、彩繪等多種技法，臉部應是模製而成。為一女子半身像，頭髮聳起，整齊垂於雙肩，臉部豐潤細緻，細眉彎弓，雙目修長，高鼻厚唇。胸部已損，刻以漩渦紋象徵鎧甲，推定為天人像。
