Bazhong Rock Carvings Shuining Temple Niche 8
巴中水寧寺石窟第8龕
四川巴中
位於水寧寺後山崖上。為外方內單層檐佛帳龕，內龕寬1.17公尺，高1.64公尺，進深1.03公尺。龕內壇上刻一佛二弟子二菩薩二天王。主尊釋迦牟尼佛結跏趺坐於蓮座上，身著通肩袈裟，懸裳覆於蓮座上。雙手於胸前結轉法輪印。有桃形頭光，圓形身光。蓮座下雕蹲獸含蓮枝。主尊身後飾菩提雙樹。佛右側弟子阿難，手捧經篋；左側弟子迦葉，手執念珠。二菩薩立於左右兩壁，二天王立於龕口外山石上。
左右兩壁諸像間分布天龍八部，各具姿態。佛座前左右雕二供養菩薩。壇基正前方雕一博山形香爐，左右兩側雕二獅。龕門外側雕二力士，束單珠冠，肌肉凸起。外龕左、右側壁下方各開一小龕，分別雕供養人五身。該龕造像人物眾多，布局疏密有序。龕內造像經清代（1644～1911）妝彩。外龕左側壁殘存題記「至道三年（997）二月」。
