塔由塔基、塔身及塔剎等組成。塔剎僅存露盤，其上部皆已佚，除此之外，保存尚稱完好，為研究高麗時期（918～1392）金屬製塔的珍貴實物史料。
塔基三層，於正、背面設置階梯，正面左右各立金剛力士像，但左側已佚；第三層上方環繞欄杆，排列四軀伎樂像，其中兩軀已佚。塔身第一層特別高，四面鏤雕卷草紋，以上各層除二隅柱和撐柱，其餘鏤雕透空。檐上刻瓦壟和檐脊，檐角有裝飾物。此塔鎏金已剝落鏽蝕，塔基僅留些微金色。
據塔基樣式和金剛力士、伎樂像等雕造手法，推測應是十三世紀所造。
