印度安得拉邦阿瑪拉瓦提遺址出土
印度安得拉邦（Andhra Pradesh）阿瑪拉瓦提遺址（Amaravati）出土。佛右臂與左手損毀，面部稍有磨損，但整體保存狀態良好。頭頂肉髻較低，覆蓋著一圈圈平板整齊的螺髮。眼窩下陷，雙目睜開，眉間雕有圓形的白毫。鼻寬，唇厚，面頰豐腴。寬肩，厚胸，身著厚重的偏袒右肩袈裟，袈裟下襬繞左臂下垂，衣紋以流暢的平行線和弧線表示。
南印度的阿瑪拉瓦提雖與犍陀羅、秣菟羅（Mathura）並列為印度古代佛像製作地之一，但從出土作品的數量上來看卻遠不及犍陀羅與秣菟羅。已知的阿瑪拉瓦提佛像圓雕作品僅有五件，本像即為其一，乃是薩塔瓦哈納王朝（Satavahana，約200 BCE～250）的代表作品之一。
