菩薩坐像
土庫曼斯坦馬雷州梅爾夫古城佛塔遺蹟出土
一九四六年土庫曼斯坦馬雷州（Mary Velayat）梅爾夫古城遺址（Merv）佛塔遺蹟出土。為模造赤陶像。
菩薩結跏趺坐，雙手作禪定印。頭戴化佛冠，弓眉大眼，鼻梁高挺，面容含笑。衣袍褶紋簡約，頭冠、耳璫及瓔珞較為細緻。
梅爾夫，中國古稱木鹿，曾為塞琉西王朝（Seleucid，312〜64 BCE）都城，為古代中亞重要的希臘化城市，主要信仰祆教（Zoroastrianism）。此地出土的佛教文物以赤陶像為主，風格源於希臘，樣貌寫實自然。
