Simhyangsa Temple: Seated Buddha

尋香寺佛坐像
韓國
位於韓國全羅南道羅州市大湖洞尋香寺。高麗（918～1392）末期作品。據《東國輿地勝覽》，尋香寺原為神王寺，因此認為此像可能為該寺重要佛像。現僅剩下佛身，腹藏品已失，佛像底端有改金記，為重要資料。二○○八年指定為韓國寶物第1544號。
該坐像臉孔略顯平面，從鼻頭兩側延伸至嘴角兩邊的肌肉線條鮮明，因稍微低垂的緣故，略顯嚴肅。右腳在上的坐姿，雖然是較為平衡的姿勢，但肩膀卻表現出上身向前的傾斜感。整體上雖與鳳林寺木造阿彌陀佛像相似，但從僧祇支結帶和獨特的衣紋中，可看出略顯不同。
