金剛寺釋迦牟尼佛坐像 釋妙禪

位於臺灣新竹縣北埔鄉金剛寺大雄寶殿。該寺初建於一九二二年，最初原構今已無存，一九五三年重建，此像應塑於初建或重建當年。該寺一九九九年遭地震損毀而拆除，但妙禪法師所塑作的觀音、伽藍、韋馱及布袋和尚等尊像，尚遺留在世。
釋迦牟尼佛頂上螺狀髮紋，有凸起的肉髻，五官端莊，橢圓形的臉龐，目光下視，顯出智慧與慈悲的神情。結跏趺坐，右手施無畏印，左手置於腹前，袈裟衣紋轉折生動，敞前胸，胸前露出「卍」字。雖是因襲清代（1644～1911）式樣，但手印卻有其獨特性，面容也有別於福建諸派的手法。
