為修行蘇悉地法的印相圖像，係中國長安（今陝西西安）青龍寺僧法全授予入唐日僧宗叡。蘇悉地法乃根據《蘇悉地羯囉經》所修之密法，為日本台密所立三部大法之一。蘇悉地（梵Susiddhi），意譯妙成就，密教主張依誦持真言等，得以完成究極、殊勝之妙果。此卷與日本滋賀園城寺所藏的「五部心觀」中的契印圖，同為現存晚唐（846～907）珍貴的契印圖。據卷後跋知為唐咸通五年（864）製。一九三九年指定為日本重要文化財。
此圖為白描畫法，用細線勾勒出物象輪廓及其細部，畫面純用墨色，有的施以淡墨渲染。筆觸精細，線條柔和優美，呈現唐代（618～907）線描風韻。印相大多表現側掌，有立體感。
