「佛盫」指安置佛像，外形如廚櫃之器具，多以石、木材製成。「佛盫」是一方朱文大型印。此方二字大印，展現其大刀闊斧、雷霆萬鈞之勢；章法源出於漢人鑿印，布局「疏可走馬，密不容針」，既險又奇，令人拍案。在刀法上，採用獨特單刀直衝，強雄恣肆，氣象雄渾。全印體勢中緊外閎，蒼密之中饒有稚拙情趣，從中可看出其扎實的功力。
齊白石原名純芝，字渭清；後更名璜，字瀕生，號白石；筆名和別號甚多。湖南湘潭人。詩、書、畫、印皆卓然成家，曾繪製多幅佛教畫作；一九六三年世界和平理事會推舉為世界文化名人。
