洞山渡水圖贊 楊妹子

洞山良价為曹洞宗之祖師，因其遇水睹見自影而豁然證悟，偈曰：「切忌從他覓，迢迢與我疏，我今獨自往，處處得逢渠；渠今正是我，我今不是渠，應須恁麼會，方得契如如。」畫家馬遠據此事為圖，南宋（1127～1279）皇后楊妹子跋贊於圖，即此幅也。贊語即言洞山此事，說明未悟時常常登山涉水尋道，待其悟道時則處處皆是門徑，如圖贊「不知觸處皆渠，一見低頭自喜。」
楊皇后的書法風格，是承接了北宋高宗（1127～1162在位）以來的皇室書風。除此之外，還展現了楊皇后個人的質樸筆性，並略有顏真卿的通俗書樣。現存三祖師跋贊中，書風類同而以洞山祖贊最為疏朗。
楊妹子乃宋寧宗（1194～1224在位）之皇后。擅詩詞、工書畫，精於鑒賞。據厲鶚《南宋院畫錄》載，寧宗時期名畫多經楊皇后鑑定、題識。
