妙相寺造像題記

此題記為「齊永明六年（488）太歲戊辰於吳郡敬造維衛尊佛」等十八字，刻於石佛的背面。維衛佛為過去七佛的第一佛，又稱毗婆尸佛。南朝（420～589）石刻甚少，故非常珍貴。
到了南朝宋（420～479）齊（479～502）之際，銘石書基本完成了由隸書轉變為楷書的過渡。此作品結體有「斜畫緊結」的楷書特徵，以收聚中宮、伸展四肢來體現出結構空間的張力，在莊健中具蕭逸之筆意。此造像題記字數雖少，但仍能見其勁爽的筆法特徵。
