Akishinodera Temple: Brahma

該像造於八世紀，原名稱不詳。日本昭和十一年（1936）解體整修時，據頭部接榫之墨書記載，得知身軀於鎌倉正應二年（1289）奉藤原光泰之命修補。頭部為奈良時代（710～794）末期以夾紵脫胎技法製作的乾漆造像，補作之身軀以多材檜木雕造而成，妝彩的身軀與頭部甚為調和，推測係當時南都（今奈良）雕刻師所製，現為日本重要文化財。
頭部除寶髻的群青與木製的天冠為後來修補，餘仍保持當初原作。面相圓滿，眉頭蹙緊，鼻挺，嘴唇緊閉，表情威嚴剛毅。頭髮厚塗木屑漆，予人柔軟之感，呈現乾漆造之特質。腰部稍向左扭，重心置於左足，左手上舉，右手擺置腹側，二手皆拇指、中指和無名指相捻，餘指揚起。身著鎧甲，外披帔帛，下著長裙，帛帶於左肩打結，腰繫束帶，可看出其簡潔明快的作風。
