Akishinodera Temple: Heavenly Being

位於日本奈良市秋篠町秋篠寺本堂。此像當初的尊名不詳,因其頭部微向左傾,似乎正在聆聽美妙音樂,表情顯得柔和愉悅,故自明治時代(1868~1912)起以伎藝天稱之,供人尊崇,現為日本重要文化財。
 該像頭部是奈良時代(710~794)末期以夾紵脫胎法塑造,身軀約為鎌倉正應二年(1289)補作,由多材檜木接合完成,妝彩。頭束高髻,臉龐豐滿端正,口微開露齒,表情恬靜,顯示夾紵塑像之柔軟特性。身著帔帛及裙裳,右手屈臂上舉,左手垂下,手指輕捻,腰部向右微側,衣紋流暢寫實,賦予木雕典雅柔暢之感。頭部與身軀雖是不同材質、年代所製,卻能巧妙地融為一體,推測在補作時以當初的殘缺體部為範本。
