自敘帖 釋懷素

懷素和尚四十歲時所書，凡一百二十六行，計六百九十八字。內容自敘學書經過及當時名賢雅士對其書法的評論及讚頌。卷後有宋代（960～1279）蘇轍及明代（1368～1644）李東陽等人題跋，是可窺見懷素草書成就的重要作品。此帖真偽由當代傅申教授鑑定，將北京故宮的文彭《自敘帖》臨本，與臺北故宮博物院藏本一一進行細部比對，已確定此帖為臺北故宮「寫本」，非文彭「摹本」的結論。
懷素俗姓錢，字藏真。唐代（618～907）僧、書法家。長沙（今湖南長沙）人。自幼出家，在讀經習禪之餘，傾心書法藝事，尤以狂草著名。其筆法係承張旭，故世稱「顛張狂素」。該帖筆筆中鋒，揮寫迅捷，氣勢酣暢。用筆瘦勁挺拔，點畫圓轉灑脫，字形錯落，大小相間，枯墨、濃墨並用，結體富於變化。內容隨著書者的心情，由平靜進入忘我之境。前半部行筆舒緩，飄逸自如；後半部漸趨狂放，筆飛墨舞，如狂風驟雨，氣勢磅●（礡）。《宣和書譜》云：「字字飛動，圓轉之妙，宛若有神。」
