日本室町時代（1392～1573）作品。內藏《妙法蓮華經》、《無量義經》、《佛說觀普賢菩薩行法經》、《佛說阿彌陀經》、《般若波羅蜜多心經》等，共三十四卷。一九五六年指定為日本國寶。
經箱為長方體，木質，共三層。長35公分，寬22.1公分，高19.5公分。表面以對角線分隔出不同顏色區塊，呈三角幾何圖形，表現出立體感。上施蒔繪技法，呈沃懸地及梨子地，即各三角形之底面撒上細密金粉後，塗漆，磨光成沃懸地。微撒細粉後，塗上一層清漆，經推光後呈現晶亮效果，酷似梨皮之梨子地。經此漆工技法後，再描繪簡單之藍、棕色圓形紋樣。
