泰國巴真府（Prachinburi）出土。佛傳故事中龍王為佛陀遮擋風雨的情節，在佛教藝術領域裡常被引用。此類龍王護佛造像最早從柬埔寨開展而出，泰國出土的他叻瓦滴時期（Dvaravati，約6～13世紀）所造之同類雕像，則為東南亞地區現存較早的範例。
該像螺髮粗大，高肉髻。面相呈孟族人特徵，寬額，鼻準較底，嘴唇豐厚。袈裟貼體不現一絲衣紋，肩膀寬大，突顯健壯體格。手結禪定印，雙腿於腳踝處交疊，反映出印度阿瑪拉瓦提雕像風格。背屏呈蓮瓣形，兩側邊緣各雕一佛塔；上緣刻七條龍，頂端一條已損壞，其餘六條左右對稱，狀似猴臉，為孟族藝術家的創造之一，使作品平添了趣味性。
