金剛峰寺孔雀明王像 快慶

位於日本和歌山縣伊都郡高野町金剛峰寺孔雀堂，為該堂之主尊。鎌倉正治元年（1199）依後鳥羽上皇之御願而雕造，其膝部內側有後世追書「巧匠安阿彌陀佛快慶」之銘文，係快慶作品中著名的雕像之一。一九○八年指定為日本重要文化財。
該像由檜木多材接合而成，像高78.8公分，眼瞳嵌鑲玉石，外表彩繪，帔帛及下裙並施加多種貼金紋樣。明王及孔雀皆取正面造型。明王呈一面四臂像，面相端嚴，身戴瓔珞、臂釧、腕釧等裝飾。結跏趺坐於孔雀背上的蓮花座，手持未敷蓮花、俱緣果、吉祥果及孔雀尾翎。頭綰高髻、戴透雕寶冠，冠旁繒帶垂掛身前，飄逸於體側。
該像色彩、孔雀及其背光尾翎等均為後世補作，雖與明王製作年代不同，但整體觀之，身軀與四臂之間取得巧妙的平衡，具纖細與穩健之美感，表現其高度的細密技法。
