韓國慶州皇龍寺的緣起法師發願書寫，由十一位寫經師合作，完成於統一新羅景德王十三年至十四年（754～755），一行三十四字，異於一般寫經一行十七字之例。經內的圖像或花紋皆以金銀泥描繪，彌足珍貴。一九七九年指定為韓國國寶第196號。
《華嚴經》，又稱《大方廣佛華嚴經》，係釋迦牟尼佛成道後之第二七日，於菩提樹下為文殊、普賢等菩薩宣說的內證法門，內容記述佛陀之因地修行及內證果德，開顯出重重無盡、事事無礙的妙旨。
此卷之書寫功力雖未臻一流，用筆結字也偶有失當之處，但寫得一絲不苟，態度敬慎，前後無一處稍懈，使通篇的齊整面貌突出了佛教寫經的質樸敬意，此是這卷寫經書法的可觀處。
參考釋文：阿修羅心迦樓羅心緊那羅心／鬼心諸難處眾生心如是等無／世界百千世界百千億那由他／心悉分別知是名菩薩摩訶薩／以無礙清淨天眼智通見無量
