印度北方邦鹿野苑遺址出土
印度北方邦瓦拉那西（Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh）鹿野苑（Sarnath）出土，為笈多王朝（約320～550）後期作品。佛肉髻平緩，螺髮齊整。雙眼垂視，流露沉思冥想的神情。右手施無畏印，指間現縵網相，左手舒展，提握衣角。體型勁健，重心落在左腳，略顯動態。通肩袈裟宛如透明，僅於頸下、臂彎和腰部等處淺刻衣紋，並於下襬處刻劃翻摺的衣褶。
該像形象簡潔，其頭光相對顯得華麗。頭光碩大，作多層同心圓，雕飾連弧紋、聯珠紋和卷草紋等紋樣；卷草紋刻劃細膩，使頭光有厚而不重、大而輕巧之感。
