Five Temple Caves: Cave 1 - Illustration of the Sutra on the Descent of Maitreya
五個廟石窟
甘肅肅北
位於甘肅省肅北蒙古族自治縣，距城西北20公里黨河岸崖壁上。蒙古族稱石窟為廟，五個廟即五個石窟，今屬敦煌石窟群。經考證，窟開鑿於北魏（386～534）至北宋（960～1127）時期。現為甘肅省文物保護單位。
該窟群洞窟數量，說法不一，現存洞窟四個。第1窟為中心柱窟，壁畫有水月觀音、熾盛光佛、壇城圖、黃道十二宮、二十八宿及彌勒經變相、文殊、普賢變相等。第2窟因煙熏已無法辨識。第3窟是漢密圖像，有十六臂、四臂觀音及維摩詰經變相、勞度叉鬥聖變相、彌勒經變相、藥師經變相等。第4窟圖像有說法圖、水月觀音及文殊、普賢變相等。原造像、壁畫已損壞，現存作品多為五代（907～960）、宋（960～1279）、西夏（1032～1227）、元（1271～1368）時所重繪。
