印度北方邦秣菟羅出土
印度北方邦秣菟羅（Mathura, Uttar Pradesh）出土。此像高肉髻，右旋螺髮齊整。臉形橢圓，雙頰圓潤豐滿。細眉長彎，雙眼微啟，俯視下方，神韻平靜安詳。耳垂厚重，五官特徵均為笈多王朝（約320～550）秣菟羅造像的典範。頭光損毀過半，但仍可見刻有多重同心圓，中心為蓮瓣形圖案，外重依次為卷草紋、扭轉花環、聯珠紋和連弧紋，裝飾華美繁複。
佛披通肩袈裟，薄衣貼體，顯露出體型豐碩，身軀比例合度。衣紋呈水波形，棱線刻劃流暢。右手手肘以下已佚失，原應作無畏印，左手垂下持袈裟一角。繞過左腕懸垂的袈裟，衣緣翻摺出波浪紋飾，描刻生動，顯示匠師的巧思。整體造像氣度雍容，沉穩寧靜。
