該像鑄於七世紀，基本上與日本止利派的造像樣式共通。佛面相長圓，眼瞼半開，鼻翼寬大，厚唇，雙耳大且平，嘴角上揚，呈微笑的表情。身著低領通肩袈裟，右手作無畏印，左手結與願印。體軀扁平，袈裟下襬向兩邊伸展。整體平穩、寧靜祥和的表現，被視為飛鳥時代（538～645）後期的造像。頭部以下中空，並留有鐵心，似曾經過火燒，表面稍見龜裂，雙手為後來補上。
