菩薩頭梳高髻，戴三葉式花冠，髮絲刻劃分明，眉長眼細，鼻直唇小，面相慈祥沉靜。頸瘦肩寬，身佩瓔珞、臂釧和腕釧。帔帛披肩垂於身前，下繫長裙，腰間裙褶線條概括，猶如蓮瓣。右手置腿上，左手持經卷，端坐於仰覆鎏金蓮瓣八角座上。原背光已失。
台座上刻有「統和二十六年（1008）」銘文。遼代（907～1125）造像傳世較少，有銘文者更少見，此像為研究遼代造像的珍貴實物。
