Taiyin Temple South Hall: Reclining Buddha

太陰寺臥佛像

位於山西省運城市絳縣太陰寺南大殿。臥佛像置於木製四柱三間式佛龕內。佛身長4公尺，高1.5公尺，螺髮肉髻，雙目微閉，面相豐圓，神情安詳。右手屈肱支首，左手平放於腿上，右脇累足而臥，身軀微微向後，臉略朝上。身著袈裟，衣紋呈弧形向下層疊。佛像雕刻細膩，朱砂塗底，面部鎏金，整體造型端嚴，比例適度，形象地表現了佛涅槃時的解脫自在。
龕楣雕梁畫棟，龕上有複瓣蓮花，龕下沿繪蓮瓣紋。龕內舉哀弟子壁畫，繪於明洪武五年（1372）。
