「歸依三寶」，即歸敬依投佛、法、僧三寶，成為正信的佛教徒。
此為四字白文正方章，印文筆畫有相當差距，「三」字筆畫最少，其次為「依」，「歸」、「寶」筆畫最多。為取得全印協調，印式布局採用「田」字界格，採用古篆字體。用刀平順，不慍不火，風格古雅。
馬衡字叔平，別署無咎、凡將齋主人，浙江鄞縣（今寧波鄞州）人。工詩、書，精考古，善治印，博採兩周、秦漢，功力甚深，作品形神皆備。馬衡收藏書畫、碑版甚富，是傑出的金石學家和近代考古學的先驅，曾服務北京故宮博物院二十七年，擔任院長一職十九年。為西泠印社早期社員，並擔任第二任社長。
