印度比哈爾邦（Bihar）出土。波羅王朝（Pala，約8～12世紀）九世紀時，那爛陀地區的青銅像鑄造已達巔峰階段。特別於表現身體肌理和造像細節上運用自如，此像即為範例之一。
菩薩頂戴阿彌陀化佛，故知為觀音。五官稍顯模糊，應為進行宗教儀式時臉部屢次塗抹所致。身體微向右傾，聖線和腰帶隨身體輕微彎動。右手擱右膝作與願印，掌心持物或為寶珠，左手後伸置於蓮座執長莖蓮花。舒右腳踏蓮花，左腳盤屈，坐於仰覆蓮座上。
菩薩飾物相當簡約，但細節細膩，為當時那爛陀青銅菩薩像的特色。背光中間鏤空，內圈刻有花朵造型，外緣有二圈，一圈聯珠紋，最外圈火焰紋。背光上方為蓮花傘蓋，頂端雕有寶瓶，亦為典型那爛陀青銅造像的模式。
