別源圓旨送別偈 古林清茂

此卷書寫者為元代（1271～1368）禪僧古林清茂，據款署可知成於元泰定二年（1325）。由於別源圓旨由日本遠渡來到中國求法，並拜於古林清茂門下三年，後別源圓旨欲往江西，古林清茂便寫此卷相贈，卷中讚其求法之心堅定，將來當有所成，既是臨別贈與，也是有如「印可」的文書。一九五二年指定為日本國寶。
此書章法字字獨立，一片清朗，然筆畫卻以強烈的米芾書風寫就，用筆迅捷，翻騰多端，一眼望去，有如草書旋風掃葉，變化也由此間生起，與簡單明確章法形成微妙的平衡。
古林清茂俗姓林，字古林，號金剛幢、休居叟，世稱茂古林。溫州樂清（今浙江樂清）人。元代高僧。德行高尚，墨跡揚名海外。
