海州(今江蘇東海)人 書法家
生卒年不詳。唐代（618～907）書法家。海州（今江蘇東海）人。官至中書舍人。長於書法，工行草，自唐末至宋（960～1279）初，翰林院編修官皆習用其行草之體，因此被稱為「院體」。其用筆及章法，有別於顏真卿所創的唐書法主流之「顏體」，亦異於初唐（618～712）楷書，頗有魏晉（220～420）書法之風韻。
傳世書法作品《楚金禪師碑》，於唐貞元二十一年（805）刻於《多寶塔碑》之陰面，屬於楷書，有些筆畫圓轉、連寫，略帶行意，字體活潑生動但少骨力，原石藏陝西西安碑林博物館。另有《魚朝恩碑》等。
