阿艾石窟觀無量壽經變相
新疆庫車
位於正壁。該圖描繪西方淨土勝景和阿彌陀佛說法會的場景，樓閣高聳，亭台林立。居中為阿彌陀佛，兩側為觀音菩薩及大勢至菩薩，三聖均坐於蓮花座上，由四十二身聞法菩薩圍繞。阿彌陀佛頭上方懸一華蓋。天空中有乘雲而來的十方諸佛，現僅存三尊，諸佛皆有左、右脇侍菩薩，其間穿插飛天和不鼓自鳴的樂器。
下方描繪西方淨土世界的七寶池、八功德水。七寶池中央水榭平台上，殘存繫腰鼓和執排簫的伎樂，左為一組樂隊，有箜篌、琴、大鼓、篳篥、阮咸、腰鼓、排簫及琵琶等。水池中有嬉戲的化生童子和各種祥禽瑞獸及盛開的蓮花，構成了一幅西方極樂世界。兩側立軸條幅內繪十六觀，現僅殘存樓台觀。整個畫面線描流暢，屬中原盛唐（712～756）繪畫風格。
