Chengde Eight Outlying Temples: White Tara

相傳觀音菩薩悲憫娑婆世界中的苦難眾生，落下兩滴淚珠，左眼的淚珠化成溫柔的白度母，右眼淚珠則化生兇猛的綠度母。故白度母的造像，多呈現安詳、慈悲的樣貌，其臉部、手、足共有七目，所以又稱七眼佛母。
度母頭略向右傾，戴五葉寶冠，右手置膝，掌心向外，左手當胸，拇指與無名指拈花莖。左右二花莖沿臂向上伸展，形成典雅的裝飾。寬肩細腰，瓔珞嚴身，面貌靜謐祥和，風姿優雅，做工細緻。呈現喀爾喀部內蒙古地區札納巴札爾派（Zanabazar）金銅造像的典型風格，十七至十八世紀作品。
