Chengde Eight Outlying Temples: White Tara

中國

相傳觀音菩薩悲憫娑婆世界中的苦難眾生,落下兩滴淚珠,左眼的淚珠化成溫柔的白度母,右眼淚珠則化生兇猛的綠度母。故白度母的造像,多呈現安詳、慈悲的樣貌,其臉部、手、足共有七目,所以又稱七眼佛母。
 度母頭略向右傾,戴五葉寶冠,右手置膝,掌心向外,左手當胸,拇指與無名指拈花莖。左右二花莖沿臂向上伸展,形成典雅的裝飾。寬肩細腰,瓔珞嚴身,面貌靜謐祥和,風姿優雅,做工細緻。呈現喀爾喀部內蒙古地區札納巴札爾派(Zanabazar)金銅造像的典型風格,十七至十八世紀作品。
