位於千佛殿，為該殿主尊。菩薩頭戴金色寶冠，冠側佩飾長串垂珠如意釵，面容圓潤，眉長鼻挺，表情恬靜。袒上身，飾瓔珞、臂釧，帔帛披肩繞臂垂於岩座下。右手擱於右膝，左臂撐按岩座，垂左足踏蓮葉，屈右腿，姿態舒展自在，座下蟠龍盤踞，整體造型安詳自若。
觀音身後左側善財童子合掌而立，據《大方廣佛華嚴經》卷六十八〈入法界品〉記載，觀自在菩薩住光明山，善財童子曾到此，「見其西面巖谷之中，泉流縈映，樹林蓊欝，香草柔軟，右旋布地。觀自在菩薩於金剛寶石上結跏趺坐，無量菩薩皆坐寶石恭敬圍遶，而為宣說大慈悲法，令其攝受一切眾生。善財見已，歡喜踊躍，合掌諦觀」。
