Ninnaji Temple: Prince Siddhartha

據像內所藏的文書，得知為日本院派雕刻師院智所雕造。頭部與身軀主要部位由多材接合而成，外表並施以敷彩、金箔及金泥紋樣。釋尊出家之前名為悉達多，在日本以其命名的造像極少，故彌足珍貴。一九一八年指定為日本重要文化財。
太子五官端正，臉龐豐圓，額頭正中有一圓珠，斂目，閉口，神情安詳。頭髮從頂上分梳左右，在耳邊結成「Y」形髻，此乃平安時代（794～1185）以後少年的主要髮型，具童子形象，與聖德太子像有許多共通點，顯然受其影響。身軀豐盈，右手上舉，手指微屈，左手輕置膝上，採趺坐姿。衣襟鑲有滾邊，呈波狀線條，袖口寬大飄於體側，裙裾垂落座前，衣紋繁複。其端正的面容，裝飾性的衣著，被認為是院派的特色。
